We've been coming here for a long time, maybe 18 years or something like that. I grew up eating chinese and have had it all over and lived in NYC for a few years. This restaurant i. My opinion is the best I've had in Virginia and compares to some of the nicer places I've eaten at in NYC. We're lucky to have this caliber of a restaurant in our small town.

Absolutely wonderful late lunch yesterday after a long time without visiting. I was on a first date, told Charlie that I was nervous. He personally waited on our table. Our meal was delicious and fresh. Charlie and Fiona are wonderful people, they always remember me - even if I have not seen them in ages.

I have eaten Great Fortune my entire life. In thirty years I have not had one bad meal, one bad interaction with the staff, one bad anything. Wonderful people, wonderful food, it is always an enjoyable dining experience. Five stars are not enough.

If you need a drink in Kilmarnock this is the place to go. Awesome, sleeper bar. You would drive right by and never know, but it's more than worth stopping. Fiona was our server and she was delightful. They make all the dumplings and everything right in house and have been since 1997. Highly recommend.

Food is awesome! I recommend the combination lo mein. Its enough for 2 people for sure **Edit** went there Thursday night for dinner, and it was so good as always! Try the coconut shrimp. I don't even like coconut and it was delicious! Cashew chicken is a safe bet as well as the lemon chicken. This place is legit

Been coming here for years with no issues. Food is always good and they give you a lot of it. Good variety of dishes and drinks. My favorite is the sesame chicken. There’s also a bar but I haven’t used it.

Excellent service and really good food. We really enjoyed the visit but they need to work on the atmosphere a little. Head over to the hardware store and buy a few cans of black spray paint and paint the rusty outdoor tables. Second, take a look at the bar area and figure out a different vibe. Not a pleasant space and certainly not what I'd expect in a nicer restaurant.

Being new to the area, we asked a stranger which restaurants he could recommend. He recommended Great Fortune. The food is the best Chinese food I've had in a long time. We went during lunchtime on a weekday. The food was brought out quickly and was so hot that we almost burned our tongues. 3 lunch entrees (includes soup or egg roll and fried or white rice) , an appetizer of crab meat fried wonton, and one beverage was about 50. We brought home leftovers that heated up very nicely. We will be back. All the employees were very friendly. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. They have an outdoor area so I asked if our dog was allowed to join us outdoors, and was told yes! As we left, we were reminded to bring the dog when it is nice outside. Our dishes were crab meat fried wanton, moo goo gai pan, General Tso chicken, and shrimp and scallops combination Hunan style. The hot and sour soup was the best I've had in years, and the wonton soup was a deliciously flavored chicken base.
